Opportunities & Extra-curricular Programs
Visual Arts students are encouraged to participate in a wide variety of experiences including:
- Sculpture by the Sea Artist in Residence Program
- Art Gallery of NSW Pathways Program
- Sydney Biennale
- Campbelltown City Gallery online artist interviews, studio visits and HSC Art Writing workshops
- Granville Centre Art Gallery ‘Over the Fence’ Youth Mentorship Program
- Excursions to galleries and museums to complement current learning experiences
Guitar Club
Guitar Club runs every Tuesday afternoon from 3:15-4:00 on Level 2, for Stages 4 and 5 students. We cater to all levels and our lessons consist of beginner guitar lessons all the way to guitar ensemble performances at events such as Presentation Day.
Music
Arthur Phillip High School provides many opportunities for our music students through participating in State-Wide Schools spectacular (2017-2020) and Pulse Music (2018-2021) and also in our community through Celebrating the Arts (2015-2019) And through Faculty Music Program: Junior Choir, Vocal ensemble and Band which prepares talented students for Performing Arts Night and Talent- Development Project.
