Construction Work, Parramatta CBD - November Update

As part of the Parramatta Light Rail project, work will be completed on parts of Parramatta’s road and footpath network that do not form part of the light rail route to help traffic flow smoothly in and around Parramatta. Diona Ward Joint Venture has been engaged by Transport for NSW to complete this work, known as Enabling Works. 

From 10pm on Friday 29 November 2019, George Street - between O’Connell Street and the Harris/MacArthur Street intersection - will be converted to two-way traffic, moving motorists efficiently through the heart of Parramatta and redistributing traffic volumes across the local road network. Works required for this traffic change include the removal of existing surface asphalt, laying of new asphalt and line marking of new lanes.
