HSC Exam timetable changes

Update from the NSW Department of Education

         

Oral language exams

Oral language exams are rescheduled to run from 14 August to 18 September for students in all of NSW.

NESA will reprogram the session dates, times and venues of the oral language exams in Greater Sydney. A new timetable will be published by NESA on Monday 26 July. Oral language exams for students in regional NSW will be held online wherever possible.

Dance performances

Dance performances are rescheduled to run from:

  • 9 to 13 August in schools in regional NSW

  • 13 to 17 September in schools in Greater Sydney.

Society and Culture Personal Interest Project

The Society and Culture Personal Interest Project due date is extended by 2 weeks. The new due date is Monday 9 August.

Other exams

NESA will continue to work closely with NSW Health and will provide further updates to schools for other major projects and Drama and Music performance exams currently scheduled for later in August.

NESA released advice to help schools in Greater Sydney with contingency planning for the trial HSC exams.

In addition, there is now an increase for HSC students to attempt the HSC minimum standards test to 6 times per year.
